Tsjaz in Minneapolis (consumer of popular culture) tries to be of service to others, posting with reasonable regularity, although to be honest, he'd prefer laying on the couch and sleeping to describing the excruciating minutiae of his life to you.

HBO shows

I put off watching Bored to Death and almost erased the whole thing, not because I didn't think it would be good. It's on HBO and you know how I feel about shows on HBO. No, I just felt like I didn't need more TV to watch. But then I saw Zach Galifianakis was in it, and I couldn't pass that up. I wasn't impressed with the first episode because my expectations for HBO shows are so high, but then I ended up watching the last six episodes in one sitting. Ted Danson is so funny. Jason Schwartzman doesn't do anything for me, but with supporting characters like these and guest stars like John Hodgman, Kristen Wiig, and Sarah Vowell.

I finished the entire season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and just cringe the whole time. Larry David in the show is pretty much the opposite of me. "Can I give you a tip?" The episode where Larry has to cover for Jeff with Susie builds all the pieces for one awesome and hilarious conclusion. That show does the long setup for a great joke really well. Like the chef with Tourette's.

Another guest in Bored was Ana from Big Love, which starts again in January and I really find that I miss.
