Tsjaz in Minneapolis (consumer of popular culture) tries to be of service to others, posting with reasonable regularity, although to be honest, he'd prefer laying on the couch and sleeping to describing the excruciating minutiae of his life to you.

The Lovely Bones

I read The Lovely Bones. It's about to come out in movie form, directed by a svelte Peter Jackson. I've never heard anyone mention his massive weight loss. Odd.

Anyway, I liked the book, although going by the objective and empirical metric of how many pages a day I read, I didn't love it. The in-between world was pretty cool.

I wasn't sure I liked everything in the book. I didn't understand exactly what happened to the murderer. I didn't get how Ruth got her wish for Susie. I didn't understand how Ruth saw dead people. Granted, if I had read the book more consistently instead of putting it aside for days because I had a library book to finish before it was due, these things might make more sense to me.
