My computer probably would have been back up and running right away had I not deferred the spending on a compatible external hard drive. Now I lost some stuff. You don't think before your hard drive crashes that personal settings would be that important because you can just reset them. It turns out that some aren't that easy to reset, and they're all a little bit of a pain. I've got the novel back going and I'm getting back to being on track bit by bit, but I wish that all my little things were going. Instead, I'm downloading 55 GB over the internet which is taking some time.

I'm tired today because of staying up too late and it being the last day of a grading period, which meant that students had to accuse me of losing their stuff, which would have been less stressful for the both of us if they had cared about it when it was "lost" rather than on payday.
